So many people are not happy here and yet I keep seeing those same people trying to find a new job in the same industry that has been brutal to its employees for the past two decades, if not longer.
It might not be easy to consider such drastic change and it might require some additional training, but leaving the entire industry might be the thing you are looking for to be happy with your work once again.
Good advice, unless you are very close to retirement. Plus technology has been impacting us too. Look at how many people used to be in CO compared to now. Operators? Payphones? Landlines? Loved when we were the phone company way back then and we were pretty much the only game in town for our products. Not any more. It was a fun and simpler time. But that ship sailed a long time ago and it ain't never coming back. But it's harder for older workers to reinvent themselves but still can be done.
After 43 years...I got one to go. I’ll be moving on...the management is brutal, but I and I alone will choose when I leave! Screw them and the horse they rode in on!
I ain’t leaving. I love being a tech. Why should I leave. I’m not the one who made t-mobile the competitive threat that it is today by giving them free spectrum , billions in cash.
