WellsFargo is mandating that we go back into the office but yet they will not provide us with a cubicle. They expect us to find a location to work on a day-to-day basis when the lack of office space is at its highest. So you have to hunt for a cubicle or use a conference room or work in the eating area. What does this say about WellsFargo and how they treat their employees? Our customers expected to be treated any better?

A few years ago I heard a report that the average keyboard is 4 TIMES filthier than a public toilet because some people don't wash their hands. When a bunch of people start getting sick maybe they will rethink this policy.
Why are old timers a problem? The standard was to start and retire from a company especially if you were treated well. It’s b—s— that we have come to a time where loyalty and longevity are looked at as a handicap and not a recognition.
This is where forced layoffs come into play but what if people don't do what the company wants? Where will everyone sit? Offshore is expanding and they get training paid for no questions asked. Here we are told no money yet Saul stated we have millions. This is what movies are made of.
Work is what you do, not where you do it.
At least that’s the slogan they came up with in marketing when they started making people who were in the office less than 18 days per month reserve flex spaces rather than be assigned a permanent cubicle.
It’s a great system. Every day before you begin your commute you just log into the system and reserve your space for the day. If you want to leave something at the office, you can do that too. You get your own personal file cabinet drawer!!!! Bet you didn’t know that. Don’t you feel better now ?
10zPZQRg-tdz, the cost of working from home is not zero. YOU are the cost and the target of expense reduction. Please get your head out of your a$$
This website is concerned with layoffs, not where people bank.
And if you would learn about Wells history over the last few years, you would be telling everyone you know and their brother to never bank at Wells.
If you hate Wells Fargo so much then put your financial transactions elsewhere-lots of healthy options.
easy to fix that. check badge in time at the building and combine that with AD logon to make sure they actually logged in from the office, then add badge out time to make sure the did not just come to the office, log in then leave to go back to work from home
Back to the office? We have a multitude of people who have assigned desks who never show up. They work from home.
moving to the next level? gimme a break. my boss has been here 20+ years and is not going anywhere any time soon. my only option for promotion is to leave the company or move to another group.
The old timers probably weren’t the ones opening up fake accounts
can we be honest? we have a very bloated organization. Extreme areas of layers of unnecessary management structure where it is not needed.
we also have numerous employees here who have spend 15,20,25,30,35 YEARS here. These are the "old timers" who will not leave and who are part of the problem.
Wouldn’t one think it would be more important to focus on getting out from under the consent order and growing the bank than focusing on where the f— someone sits? The stock is in a free fall(not all due to the situation here) and they should be looking at continued expense reduction not cost inflation. Cost for someone to work remote is zero?
There are lots of seats currently available off shore. US workers going back into US offices is not the plan. Lets all face reality of where this bank is headed and plan accordingly. Management is not being transparent.
More proof of poor communication and even worse execution - I recently listened to a colleague vent that CPG was under-allocating seats intentionally based on some formula while management was telling them to get to the office where they had nowhere to work. Figures. Either way, telling employees to get to the office and making them sit on the floor or whatever is sure to result in doctors notes and OSHA complaints.
Apparently CPG is supposed to be working on this dilemma. Hopefully more information will be coming in the August 27th meeting on what the Location Strategy actually is.
