Is it too late to get out of the union?

You do not have to wait for the "2 week window" to get out of the union. Send a letter to HR stating that you want them to stop deducting Union Dues from your paycheck. They have to comply with the request. I did it 3 years ago in October and it took two pay periods for it to stop.
I believe that some of the language in the contract about leaving the union is unenforceable. Snd the letters and call human resources.
You have missed that window. and its not that easy to just call HR.
Send a certified letter to HR telling them to stop withdrawing union dues from your check. It can be done anytime not just during the window the union sets forth in the contract.
OP, I assume you're a Prem Tech who's tired of paying union dues so that Core represented employees can continue to get excellent pay and representation while you continue to get the shaft.
I used to have a strong pro-union attitude. But after seeing how absolutely useless and fraudulent AT&T's fake union is, no more!
The best way to get out of this union is to quit this sh!tty job.
The only thing gained from getting out of the union, is the dues you pay and the ability to not be represented in any disciplinary actions. You are still paid and treated as union employee in the companies eyes. You cannot make any deals with the company.
Read the contract
If you are a technician that works under a regional labor agreement you can definitely get out of paying union dues, but you will still be represented under the bargaining contract (much to the chagrin of your local). If you really want "out of the union", quit and find a job that is not part of any organized labor representation.
According to the U's constitution yes. If u lawyered up and pushed it, who knows. Kind of makes u look bad if u won't let folks leave your club. If you can't get out I do believe you can request that your dues be given to a charitable organization.
