401k contribution and Match after moved to IBM

So what happens to you 401k contribution and match once your officially an IBM employee? are you able to contribute the same amount on day 1? or is there a waiting period to contribute? do you get the same match 1st year?

Thanks

This was not talked about but You lose you ability to contribute to a 401k for a year. Once transitioned you can transfer your 401k but can't contribute. So if your 50+ and put $24k in per year to avoid taxes, you'll now forfeit that amount in taxes to the Fed.

Correct me if I'm wrong please but that's my understanding.

Depends on IBMs rules for their 401k. You AT&T plan becomes inactive and all moneys remain until you take some action to move them.
