I don't know when it will be, but if I happen to impacted in the next one, I expect a severance package of 52 weeks pay for every year at the company. It's only fair.

I don't see that happening. They can show us all the door without improving any severance package to get volunteers.
@4oix, thanks. There are more of us out there than you will ever know. I have mentored some, by request from management, and others just because.....
Those of us who cracked the 30 year barrier will look back at those that didn’t, knowing it wasn’t for a lack of their knowledge or desires. Most T souls put in long hours, hard work and are fiercely proud of their work ethic to get the job done.
Good luck to those who survive, your time to mentor is fast approaching.
All this age bashing is bull...I work with two folks in our org both in their late 60's? and I am about half their age and only hope when I am close to their age I will still have the same enthusiasm in the work I do and interest in learning as they do. One has been a mentor to me and what I have learned from him in such a short time has been invaluable....
Ask for a new car too! Why not? dream BIG
Good luck with that.
Good luck with that OP. You might in for a very rude awakening when Randall the Rodent pulls your number.
Riiiiiiiiight
Fair? Life’s not fair, nor is anything else these days. You will get the same severance everyone else gets, either contracted or management.
I “expect”....LOL
Here in the Midwest, we are lucky to get 52 DAYS.
Ahhhhhh........nothing was enhanced on Districts 4 Contract .....so forget about it
- funniest thing I read on this site...
- so you’re around 70?
Awesome, I’m sure you’re super productive at that age.
