Just got received my surplus package in D3, I’m on the surplus list. Feeling pessimistic about being able to bump someone, with so a many techs being surplussed or a bumpee with more time than 13 years in the state. This process will be interesting say the least.

Got mines too, really there is no way we won’t be affected. So I’ve been planning and applying elsewhere. Honestly if it doesn’t happen now, it’ll probably occur in the future.
I’m sorry to hear that man. I wish you the best of luck. The good news is there are a lot of companies hiring these days and is well reported that there is a shortage of skilled qualified employees. You ARE a skilled qualified employee. During your time off , go get your CCNA certification and any others you have time for and go apply at just about any company’s IT division. You’ll be surprised how many will be interested in you just because you can understand the telco lingo and help them mange their circuits and services. You’ll be much happier too probably. This could be the start of an exciting better chapter in your life. Happy hunting.
