Collaboration is dead in NJ for those recently outsourced to IBM.....empty seats daily in collaboration areas as folks are embracing the IBM Work From Home way of life...…..

Uxe - i am at the same boat as u. Driving 60 miles a day to go collaborate. I am exhausted. When i was hired, i was told i would have the flexibility and able to remote 2-3x a week. I felt like i got bait and switch. I am leaving next yr. I havent invested that much time in this company. It s—s. Its my first job ever and im still in college, but i dont want to waste 15hrs of my time driving a week.

Its one of those Duh things. But companies including ATT will not allow it. But even tech savvy companies do it too. Why do you think SV has so much commuting issues? Don’t just blame ATT. Its a control issues that company managers have.

When I left ATT recently, it was about 98% due to the BS they pulled on telecommuting and “collaboration”. It completely blew up my life for no good reason.

It’s like Ford compelling people to learn how to use buggy whips again. Makes no sense.

AT&T still has the 19th century whip-cracker mentality. With the way this company treats its employees, the best and brightest will never want to work here.

Randall and his goons think they have a competitive world class media conglomerate. But a business is only as good as its employees. When you drive off your most motivated and creative talent with antiquated micromanagement techniques, you are left with mediocrity and conformity, the very traits a creative business needs to avoid.

You are a failure Randall. The sooner the board realizes this the better.
