I haven’t heard about the score-assume it was terrible. Someone commented it was -13, what does that mean? Considerably worse than years past? Any insight into score and possible action plan to fix appreciated. Have heard rumblings on a “fix”. Thx in advance!

I know Retail Mobility we were VERY honest about Store Managers and everyone above them. Our Area Manager is BLATANTLY racist and a certain store manager was promoted, though VERY incompetent,
“I believe some managers were misguided in forcing their employees back into the office in an attempt to protect them”
The message was clear. If you lack the testicular fortitude to ask your manager why you’re being forced into the office for no reason. That’s on you. Enjoy the drive!
@10qkiyxk-3yxj- no, you do not need to tell me what to do. You either did not attend the VB open mic or you did not understand what was said. You may want to read what you posted, it contradicts itself. No need to challenge Fea, he is following the policy established by VB. The policy stated by VB clearly said WFH is at the manager’s discretion.
If you believe the surveys are anonymous think again. I have seen them pull an IP address and haul that manager in to discuss why he answered the way he did with his Director and AM. He asked whether he violated the CoBC and they said No, but that he made poor choices in his responses, because he wasn't towing the company line basically. Surveys are NOT anonymous.
10qkiyxk-2rnc - hey a–...hat, u think we're allowed to wfh? In the other part of ato we were told to come in 5x a week. My daily commute is 60 miles per day. When they hired me i was told my work is flexible and i could do remote 2-3x a week, now they took it away... because??? To collaborate??? None of my team is in the same state as me. So before you tell everyone here to grow balls, why dont u cut yours? Yes, im leaving next yr. Hopefully everyone does too.
Why can't we have a consistent policy about WFH in ATO?? I'm wasting my time commuting, adding mileage to my car, incurring gas, tolls & repair costs for what? I sit in a drop in location doing the same thing I used to do from home. Just to make some Dallas boy happy.
@2iqz Do I need to tell you what to do?
If you aren’t happy being forced into the office 5 days a week, and your SVP tell you VPN isn’t tracked and supervisors can dictate wfh policy. Then why don’t you ask Fea why his policy contradicts his leaderships? Duh!
I bet it’s bc you don’t have the balls!
@2rnc - are you refering to the VB open mic? If so, she did not authorize WFH. She said VPN anytime is permitted and that she and David do not monitor usage by viewing any reports. She clearly said that WFH is to be implemented / permitted by individual managers. Fea clearly said he expects his people in the office 5 days a week.
You are insinuating I didn't respond out of fear.....nothing could be further from the truth. It's not cowardice or a lack of balls I assure you. I've used the exact same language I've expressed in surveys to my director in face to face conversation. It's finally coming to the realization that responding to that dumb-ss survey is an exercise in futility. Who in the hell said anything about getting fired because of a survey? I believe your the idi-t. The systemic problems here go a lot deeper than VPN access and working from home. So keep on thinking survey comments make a difference...they don't. However, a complete lack of responses would probably promote a bigger reaction.
If you are close to retirement ride it out. If not, GTFO ASAP because the company doesn’t give a rats you know what about you.
If you didn’t take the survey honestly or didn’t participate at all, you are part of the problem. Admit it, you’re a coward. Do you really think every employee who answered honestly was fired? Then you’re an id–t.
Our SVP discussed the -13 score during our open mic. They addressed our major concern which was VPN access and working from home. We received the response we were looking for. VPN not tracked and working from home is authorized. I’m happy with that.
If you failed to respond honestly and openly to the survey, the only person you hurt, was yourself. Try growing a set of balls next time.
Morpheus,
I too have been brutally honest through the years. This year's was the first I ever skipped.....we used to get reminded to make sure and complete it every year. I skipped it this time and not one word was said. Go figure...
We had a read-out in our org and it appears folks were brutally honest....and scores were not good....We have a great Manager, honest and caring and the only good scores reflected were that of our input on our immediate Management the rest were horrific....
Our leadership did a readout with the entire org during a townhall. I don’t remember the score. I do know this though as it was said and HR confirmed it, the digital team under digital, retail and care had the lowest score in the entire company by a wide margin. It’s so bad in the digital group they are having problems recruiting folks and many are turning down offers. Managers are taking demotions to get out of there. I have yet to see any action plan to address it, but they keep trying to throw parties and such to improve moral. The issue is, most are so overworked, very few even attend them because they don’t have time with 10-12 meetings per day and ridiculous delivery deadlines that they have to hit. So, coming from that group, I would gladly take anything else.
A friend was told by her Director that per HR, he was not allowed to share scores or comments from the survey results. Huh?
I've been brutally honest on this stupid survey since its inception and not a single word was ever mentioned from the 2nd line and up.
This year, however, I elected to skip the damn thing because why waste my time if no one is listening ?
( apparently, I wasn't the only one in my group that thought this way )
Oh but did upper management lose their mind.
Guess who wants to have a team meeting over why no one bothered with the stupid survey ?
( Translation: We don't care what you have to say as long as my participation numbers look good )
Who cares??
All they do is blame your direct supervisor for not keeping you engaged and promoting the Company. Upper management thinks they can do no wrong, their sh– doesn't stink, and if you don't like their sh– then your supervisor just isnt sprinkling the right seasoning on it before they give you the plate.
1gui - I don’t think that survey this week har anything to do with the employee survey earlier this year. I had direct reports get the link this week and I had a 100% sustainable engagement score so nobody on my team gave bad reviews.
When employee feedback rating fell off the chart for corporate leadership and strategy, we're told that the fix is to "Equip leaders with consistent messaging."
No one is drinking your cool-aide no matter how consistent the messaging is. Put up or shut up, let's see the great strategy pan out and win back all those lost TV subscribers.
same goes for biometrics, never provide this data unless mandated by law.
I've never answered/taken any of these surveys. Why bother. Its not mandatory anyway. Anything i type can be used against me, better not to say anything.
Listen. When the survey results can be drilled down to your direct managers level are they truely anonymous? It’s best to just not take it.
The fix – identify those that thought they were replying to the survey anonymously and outsource them :)
I just replied F— You Randall to that survey
I flagged that email as spam.
I can’t wait til the next one. Nothing is better. Everything is worse.
@1hox ..I got the same email. And i gave a really bad score the first time around. Im curious if those with really bad reviews got the email, Ts way of saying “ are your really sure you want to say that about us” lol.... anyhow i gave them the same review i did a couple of months ago.. bad upper management, no clear direction from leadership and I would not recommend this place to anyone looking to start a career.
You assume they care.
You are a fool.
No offense, but 42 years tells me.
Did anyone else get the email two days ago saying you had been "selected" as one of 10 thousand employees to give feedback on yet another survey. I did. Here is my feedback... (crickets chirping). I don't want the company to know our pain points because they will double down on the behaviors that cause them.
Their action plan to “fix” it (I.e.hide true results) will probably be to tie your bonus to a favorable score.
You can't quantify it with one score like that...though after sitting through several readouts....the scores ranking leadership (above your supervisor) were historically abysmal. Questions along the lines of " I trust senior leadership is making the right decisions..." etc. Like a -50. I have been here 25 years and I have never seen anything like it.
Between forcing people into an office, layoffs, monitoring employees & overall horrendous leadership, no one should be surprised. Why should they care to fix it?
Not sure what the score was, but it’s probably the first one where employees were finally brutally honest.
