I heard Call Centers are closing

I Heard a rumor Call Centers are closing. Does anyone have any info on this ?

I think the plan has the year 2022 in the title, so they have plenty of time to do whatever they want.

I hope everyone still has a job or finds one if needed.

Looks like they're trying to consolidate them in AZ. So yes, smaller offices may close but personnel will be shifted over for the time being.

That's a vague rumor considering every business has call centers. Contact centers in the phone bank are being consolidated, with the large hubs growing, and of course the retirement call center will move to Principal Financial soon but there are like a half a dozen other types of call centers for wealth, complaints, fraud etc. Wells Fargo can't close call centers outright because the technology is not good enough for people to more fully self serve. And, there is already a huge call center in the Philippines.

Call centers couldn't be closed outright, but they could very easily be off-shored - something Wells Fargo once vowed to never, ever do.
