Once again, corporations are required by law to provide the maximum return for their shareholders.
It's called Shareholder Supremacy and it's been tearing America apart since Reagan.
in a sane world, it would be:
Customers
Employees
Shareholders
This is best for America. Business needs customers, and America needs employed citizens, paying taxes, and participating in the economy.
We do not live in a sane world, and Wells does not care about your family or you.
I agree I think the company should do what’s right and not just string us all along. I work hard every day I go to work I do it to support my family and now every day I wake up never knowing what’s next. My family doesn’t deserve this and neither do I. Just communicate that shouldn’t be hard for the 4 th largest bank
If you deserve better and feel you can did better, what are you waiting for? Perhaps your severance that isn’t guaranteed? Grass isn’t always greener on the other side. Perhaps you should read about the other banks as well.
I think that it’s depending on what facility you are in. 20 years with Wells, go into Risk because you have long term knowledge of processes and the transformation over the years. Risk is ramping up. Pretty good place to land and it pays well. Good luck to you.
I do not see it that way
Or use this time to apply for and interview with other banks. Wells doesn’t want the negative media attention from laying off thousands of workers with some of those positions simply being moved offshore.
They don't want to let you know before hand so you won't steal company data and continue working hard. Since, you're unsure don't work so hard and take the data you need now for your next job.
