Recommending AT&T to other people

Just wondering, how many of you actually recommend AT&T to other people? I don't. Granted, I and my family use it for discounts which are too good to pass up, but that's it. Knowing what I know about the company and how everything works (or doesn't work) here, I can't in good conscience talk this place up to anybody.

Does anybody do it?

I can't recommend AT&T services because of late bills, bills with errors, and terrible customer service. That's not disloyalty, it's not being a predatory liar. The company does not want to support or service customers any more. Advertising and content are supposed to free our executives from the horrors of dealing with actual customers.

If I can’t recommend working here I can’t recommend products. Customer service is horrible. Even with an employee discount I can get cheaper cell service. They Screwed themselves.

I know employees are going through some rough times but if still working for the company how can you not recommend T Services and or use them? There is no more loyalty anywhere.....

Resigned for a competitor last month. Dumped Directv for streaming - Apple TV boxes , HuLu , Netflix etc.... don’t miss traditional tv 100%. Ported out to TMO magenta 55+ $70 unlocked iPhones, $20 unlocked iPad Pro , Apple Watch $10. $100.00 - taxes and fees included is half of what at&t would cost. Service is great and love TMo Tuesday’s rewards and no taxes & fees. A little research and you’ll be ok before quiting T.

I don't recommend them to anybody because this behavior written about in this article was 100% predictable and I won't contribute to it by referring anybody to us: https://www.latimes.com/business/story/2019-08-05/pay-tv-companies-are-too-powerful

No.

Pricing is too high all around compared to alternatives.

Most of the home internet speed options are a complete joke IN 2019 (why isn't FTTH everywhere??).

Once upon a time I would rave about directv to neighbors and friends, hook them up with the friends and family offer, give them the special 800 number to call if they had problems. AT&T ruined all of that, there effectively no longer is a special 800 number to call, everyone including employee accounts are basically treated the same now.

I no longer recommend their service and around here verizon has much better coverage. They barely provide internet service anywhere here I'm waiting for either Google or Ting to bring gigabit to the hood cause T is never gonna do it.

And like others have mentioned since I'll be losing my concessions soon I've been shopping around and discovered I can get the same services from other sources for cheaper than my discounts were anyway so that's what i will be teaching neighbors and friends about in the future.

Never have and never will. I did recommend Directv before AT&T bought them and turned them into a dumpster fire, just like everything else they get their hands on.

I canceled everything T .. canceled all these c-ap: Landline, DTV, Uverse Internet ..

All I need now is Charter Spectrum Internet .. got Ooma for landline replacement.. Mint Mobile (uses TMO network, 15 bucks a month for unlimited voice and 3 GB data) .. couldn't be happier .. Adios m-f-AT&T...

When I left AT&T, I started looking around at other options for TV, voice, and home Internet. Until then, I’d never even considered anything else, both out of loyalty and to use the employee discount.

Quickly I found using streaming for TV was far cheaper than Uverse, even with my discount.

I can get 2x the internet download speed for less money... if the other provider ran out to my house.

Didn’t really check wireless, as I’m still under contract.

I’ve already cancelled my Uverse and landline, and would have cancelled internet if there was another option. I think several of my family members are planning to cancel their AT&T services in support of me as well.

It just sickens me that there are better, cheaper options out there, even with a discount. Sure feels like those employee discounts were meant to keep people hooked in...

Nope, i dont have their wireless and internet. For internet i have comcast because T doesn't reach where i live and only offer 10mbps lol, for my phone i have tmobile, because T as well doesnt have signal to where i live... i only have dtv only because the house that i moved in already have the satellite and plus the discount is the only thing im after. Won't recommend to anyone.

In south Florida, I recommend t mobile. They have better prices, better coverage and faster speeds than T. In fact , they will match your employee discount if you prove you are an At&t employee. I’m tempted to offer to shoot a commercial for them.

Totally agree with the Cold Day . . . In fact, my discount wasn't even that great compared to what I gave up, and I regret doing so. Wi-fi for my other service cell phone has been horrific and no support whatsoever. I'd recommend a string and two empty refried bean cans first.

They could give me T wireless for free and I wouldn't take it... employee discount doesn't help you get better cell service. I'll gladly pay VZ for something that actually works in almost all places I go.

It will be a cold day in you know where before I ever recommend AT&T to any of my friends, or family, ever again.

I wonder what T kool-aid tastes like? I personally don't drink the swill.

Not me. But remember, this just isn't a job or career to many at ATT. It's a lifestyle and/or religion to some.

Nope, in fact I recommend other services. Use Verizon , have for years much better coverage and customer service. If it weren't for free I would dump DTV for Comcast; DTV just isn't what it used to be. Sadly been with them for decades.

No way. I could not make another human being go through our billing. Not to mention the service.

Not here. Cell coverage stinks where I live. I don’t watch TV. And their DSL & fiber speeds are both FAR behind those of the cable company. So, I use zero company services. Not out of malice; they’re just not competitive.
