Iwish AT&T would Focus on what we do best, build solid networks. Focus on infrastructure and fiber. Keep pur technicians baby bell style and give up on this video nonsense. DirectTv now is exactly the same as pluto except pluto is free. If you want to win the market offer Direct tv now free with Internet. This is not Rocket Science. How can you offer free internet for life if ypu have no technicians to maintain it? HD Antennas will soon be installed in smart tvs . streaming is already deluted and becoming to costly. Nobodies got time for that!

I cut the cord and just using antenna TV along with Amazon Prime, Netflix and a neat device put out by Amazon called Recast which is a DVR for Antenna. You can record 4 shows at the same time and has lots of storage. it also integrates Pluto into the channel guide. I paid $179 during Amazon Prime sale for the larger storage unit. You can even expand storage thru plug n play. This has made the transition from pay TV to Antenna so much easier. I missed my DVR for pause, backward, forward and watching shows on my own terms when I am ready.
No one cares about Watch TV, DirecTV Now or AT&T TV if they can't get signal on their phones or tablets which is what's is happening now. Too much is being put into M&A and not enough into the core business which is what olds the rest up. Signal strength and reliability have very noticably dropped the last 3-4 years.
The bigger margins, for now, is content. Wholesaling the network bandwidth to 3rd parties & direct sales, not so much.
Google couldn't even handle running a fiber network in Louisville. The city is making them tear it all out and fix the streets.
Sell the network to google or amazon. Those folks will deploy the infrastructure necessary to deliver massive bandwidth reliably. T can have the content and wireless.
