Down south in Laredo, AT&T technicians are dig and installing the poles for new fiber to be run to upcoming neighborhoods but then AT&T hires contractors to run the new fiber. Plus, managers have been sending us to Dallas area, Houston and armadillo to work (it’s been a year) they’re saying that there’s no work down south but then again the guys that are working a my local garage are working extras.

2 weeks ago I saw a 10 year old Chevy pickup truck with 2 ladders attached with bungee cords. On the doors were stick on signs that read "Contractor for AT&T" SMH

Remember that other companies rent access to AT&T structure. It could be 3rd party fiber

Most supplies attendants in Texas have been surplussed, and replaced with contractors. The union could care less.

The union has lost all control. We needed a contract where all district contracts expired at the same or nearly the same time. The opportunity was there to accomplish this. While the union can be said to have won some battles, it is clear AT&T in winning the war.

I’ve been saying this for years. This is an intel site. Anyone can use this for whatever they want. How does one become a mod? Who do they know? Do they get paid in some shape/form/fashion for the best info?

It makes you wonder who owns this website. I would guess it is a major union that nominally cares about its members, but only wants softballs thrown the way of the companies that they are in bed with.

After the big layoff at the first of the year, AT&T replaced all of our managers they let go with contractors. Took less than a month I think.

Let your union know. Provide ad much detail as possible. Att constantly pulls that sh– and hopes no one notices
