Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

T-Minus 36 Hours

T will reveal it's Second Quarter results to the world on Wednesday morning. I'm betting that the logarithmic progression of customer defections has continued. Based on the last 5 quarterly losses - I'm calling for at least 800,000 customers to have cut off either U-Verse or DirecTV in the past three months.

Which of course will set the stage for the next round of adjustments to the workforce.

Management by Crisis 101 in action.

I'm betting the IBM deal, billions and billions of dollars, somehow props up the bottom line. I've heard the pre-deal Q2 numbers are pretty bad.

What is really shocking is the fact that the Inapt and completely incompetent leadership of AT&T (Randall, Stankey, Donovan, etc….) are completely unaccountable. Along with a complicit BOD, they get big pay raises and large stock incentives. They not only keep destroying this great company, but they also destroy lives of hard working employees. I wish we had system they could be held accountable for the miseries they caused and pay for their “crimes”. They should be in jail in my opinion.

I predict that the “Friends” viewership metrics will be up significantly and thus validating Randy’s vision.

T will eventually end up giving DTV and HBO for free to keep its wireless customers, or maybe it will dump DTV in a fire sale (if any company is foolish to take it, maybe Dish). If Netflix is having troubles lately, it's a good bet that T will eventually succumb to the malevolently foolish and greedy decision by Randy and his minions to "grow" revenue by acquiring such company crushing debt. These so called "Management" and the board of directors have colluded to destroy this company, enriching themselves in the process (and the DTV and TimeWarner owners, who must be guffawing now how they made so much money at the back of every hard working employee of T, DTV and TW. Run for the exits while there is time to escape. Take whatever money you can bring with you. Save yourself, folks!

The dropping of the Nexstar and CBS O&O stations happened in July, so their affect won't be picked up until the 3rd quarter results are collated. That should put us over over the 1 million loss line for a three month period. 544,000 gone in Q1, estimating 700k gone for Q2 - I'm figuring for the 2019 fiscal year we could see 2.5 million total subscriber losses. Unless we start replaying reruns of Friends - then all hell will break loose and be rocking yo.

Im sure these carriage disputes are only going to accelerate the defections. Wouldn't be surprised if they end up bailing on DTV altogether
