I remember a few years ago, Randall was on stage with a big coke machine and was talking about all the big things that were coming. He pushed a few buttons on his cell phone and a coke popped out of the coke machine. Only problem was...I was in Stockholm 10 yrs before in a meeting and when we stepped out...one of the guys said "you want a coke" and did the same thing on his phone. Seems like pretty much sums up what's been going on. They always seem to be "late to the party" with the "next big thing." That and "buy high" and "sell low" which is bass ackwards in the business world.

Content WAS everything. In the future, the fast pipe IS everything. Everybody is creating content and young people are gravitating to YouTube influencers and big brands like even Harry Potter and Friends are waning in value. The decision makers need to stop framing their context for success based on the era of F-Troop and McHale’s Navy. No one wants to buy something they can get for free (aka “Content”) but they do have to pay for the high speed internet (hey wait, that’s what we did before all this modern media company nonsense). So in fact we could have not bought DTV or WB and still been on top without a single layoff.
The two clowns hold NO cards.
Neither of them have done so the last 30 years they have been here.
