Elliot/Paul Singer sounds exactly like Gordon Gecko in Wall street.

@sga - thanks for the info. t could be in deep dodo and things could really ugly fast.

vulture funds are ruthless. I wonder if randy and stankey made someone very upset and now will have to pay the piper.

"They have zero ability to do anything, you understand that right? "
Not necessarily they have more power than their percent holdings would indicate. If you read the web article about them they have an army of private detectives. They will invade the privacy, harass and make veiled threats to Randall, Stankey, and the board of directors. Some of them may be weak and cave in to them. They win by intimidation. I think there is a book titled that way. Anyways read the article listed on one of the other threads. Randall and Stankey aren't going to have Julia Roberts to help smooth things over as in the movie that made her famous.

"Elliott Management Corporation" is not a person... The corp is a management affiliate of American hedge funds flagship Elliott Associates L.P.

Elliott Management Corporation is an American investment management firm. It is also the largest activist fund in the world.[2]

Elliott has widely been described as a vulture fund.[6][7][8][9]

It serves as the management affiliate of American hedge funds flagship Elliott Associates L.P. and Elliott International Limited. The Elliott Corporation was founded by Paul Singer, who also serves as CEO of the management company, based in New York City. As of the first quarter of 2015, Elliott's portfolio is worth over $8 billion.[3][4] By 2009 "more than one-third of Elliott’s portfolio was concentrated in distressed securities, typically in the debt of bankrupt or near-bankrupt companies."[5]

Uh..... they only own like 1.5% of company stock, nothing is going to come of this other than Randy and the board agreeing the stock should be valued higher then spinning some BS about all the things they are doing to reduce debt and add value... streaming video... blah blah blah

You sound really bitter though BTW, I assume you were recently let go?

Would it be that you no longer work here, and took the lump sum? Otherwise, why would you wish such a disaster on yourself and the rest of us?
