Greed

Corporate greed is causing great strife in our country's work forces. From the push to decrease wages and the continual skyrocketing healthcare costs this greed has an almost death grip on employees and managers in all fields of work. I'm not sure what the solution will be. Unions are trying to fight it, but it's honestly bigger than them. I don't know if the government could or would fight it. One thing for sure, it doesn't seem as though self policing of the issue will happen.

How many invest their money based on social consciousness? I would bet that most choose a fund based on ROI with no thought of how those funds make their money. Most only care when it negatively affects us personally.

Don't look at the government for help. They are part of the problem. Lobbyists should be illegal period. Take obamacare for example. It was a great idea to start with but they turned it over to the corporations to run and it became one big mess.

Once again, this lead post is a copy and paste of a reply I made to a post several weeks ago. Not sure if someone else is posting this to seem sharp or if the powers that be on this website are picking things and posting them as new subject matter.

Trickle-down economics has turned out to be trickle-on economics. The middle class is getting the g—n s—r. The only brake on corporate greed is gov't oversight. De-regulation and globalization have knocked the stuffing out of the middle-class. The invisible hand of the market is picking our pockets. In 2020, the Presidency, the House and 1/3 of the Senate are up for grabs. Get educated on where the candidates stand and vote for the ones who have your interest at heart. Short of getting out the torches and pitchforks, it is all the average Joe can do.
