@-lrx, agreed, JD is very smart, can see ahead and around corners, and makes informed well thought out decisions and intelligent calculated risks, and knows when to hold them, when to fold them. I hope they offer an MVO with any severance for us nobody ATT employees who have given over the decades every drop of our blood, sweat and tears for this company.

I don't know why but I have always liked John Donovan . Beginning to think he got out because he was smart enough to realize things just aren't going well.

We have a great strategy because Wall Street, Analysts, Investors, Employees, and Customers are all wrong. You have wonder about who is right and their sanity.

Change them all out! All investments need to be made to the basic front line services. Strong and solid Wireline plant and Wireless infrastructure should see the most money for investing. Only when they are running at top notch everything golden then put some towards innovation. Imagine right now every neighborhood would be fiber on those poles and into the house. Gigabit internet into every home cheap. Also 5 bar signal strength 4G LTE at all times into the home also with 50Mbs up and down. But no, we spend most of our time trying to buy companies and persue innovation that is an experiment that doesn't pan out and leave our base front line work out in the cold. We aren't even really doing maintenance on the lines unless it creates enough problems that higher ups notice. Band aid everything because leadership doesn't know how to stand on two firm feet. They just try to jump and grab whatever is high above them thinking it will carry AT&T into the future. Randall and all his minions need to go. Drop all the bull about tv/media company and stick to becoming the best data transport utility company. I don't even know if I'm on topic, this turned into a rant. Lol.

Phone Companies (which we still are), have never been known for progressive ideas or dynamic management approaches. The first time I encountered the concept of "Management by Crisis" outside of Business School classes was when I hired on to a Telco. Having worked for GTE, Verizon and now T - all three play this game like they were born to do so.

The other behavior I came to realize applies to the Telco environment is the Peter Principle of "promote until you reach your level of incompetence". Our current leadership are poster-children of this concept.

It never ends well when any company follows either approach.

Hopefully this shot across the bow from the Professional Investment world will get our do-nothing Board of Directors to wake up from their 10 year nap and think about sending Randall and Company to the retirement home.

Man he must be reading this board. I have no issues with Randall, never met him, seems like a nice guy. I definitely didn’t agree with the mergers, but who am I but a nobody ATT employee. I will say the Stankey promotion stinks to high heavens. That guy is the worst.
