Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Competition is heating up

Competition is heating up and AT&T May have shot itself in the foot with the amount of debt it has taken on.

Disney’s upcoming Hulu, espn, and Disney+ streaming bundle for 12.99 a month is going to wipe the floor with HBO max. Especially with a price point of 16 to 17. (Knowing T it will be more like 19 to 23 within a year of launch).

And now I just heard at least 2 companies are looking to bring fiber to my Michigan city. One will be offering 1 gig internet with no data cap for 70 bucks a month.

I recently left the company, thankfully, and soon I will no longer be a customer either. And I am thinking it might be time to sell my shares and invest elsewhere also.

Arrogant giants with lots of debt like T are no longer customer friendly nor are they employee friendly.

I recently left the company

Good riddance. Now move on with your life instead of looking back and wishing you made the cut.

Randall doesn't have the first clue how to compete in the free market. T still has the entitled monopoly attitude. They didn't have to take care of their customers because where else are they going to go? If an innovative company came along, T would just acquire it.

Well those days are history. People have options now. Why would ANYBODY pay more for non competitive service backed up by sh!tty, outsourced customer service when there are alternatives fighting much harder and much smarter for their business?

They're going to run into the same problems with whatever streaming product they decide on as they did with DirectTV - they paid a premium to get into a saturated market that's on the verge of a major shake-up . T management doesn't understand their product or the marketplace, which almost guarantees they're going to be one of the companies left behind.
