Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

You have to be bleeping kidding me with this ATO InVest thing...right?

"ATO is raising awareness and funds for the A&T Employee Relief Fund. Together we can bring hope to fellow employees experiencing financial hardship due to events beyond their control.."

Getting surplussed causes financial hardship.

Forcing someone to commute 100 miles each way to an office where none of their team members are while out the other side of your mouth espousing the benefit of work/ life balance causes financial hardship too.

The audacity and unmitigated gall and cluelessness of the ATO leadership does not cease to amaze. Wow.

Has anyone qualified what "an employee in need" is? Is there any help for those laid off with families?

Always k–led me they were wanting know what I volunteered on my own time and my own personal choice. Basically none of your fricken business d-bags. My volunteering stays anonymous I don’t want people to know that is the point. I do it not to get famous or a pat on the back. D-bags.

"Also, you have to hand it to T's ability to get their employees to shell out money or time for charity and then take credit for it"

No doubt. OP here. And I did just that for years myself. And to the rest of you shills that ARE STILL logging your hours into a T system so that they can claim that they have ANYTHING to do with your community volunteerism/ involvement...wake the heck up. The dumb badge or email or citation or whatever that you get is completely meaningless. Will not protect you in any way. If anything T was an impediment to much of what I did.
