It’s unfortunate some are using this as a way to downplay the role and efforts of the union folks. As someone who is mgmt and has had to fill in many years ago and take the training for each contract period. I always enjoyed this time purely for the fact that it gave me s different view and perspective of all of the great work our techs do out in the field. The risks, dealing with customers, the elements and everything they have to deal with. For us office folks we don’t have those risks or work environment challenges. Thank you to all the techs and other union folks for what you do and deal with on a regular basis

Absolutely no need for unions anymore. Just another political machine with their own agenda.

Unions are a way to redistribute money from productive employees to slackers. Vacations and layoffs are not based upon performance but tenure. They keep younger people from getting in. They prevent competition. There’s a reason they’re confined almost entirely to monopolies and governments

Read this somewhere but remind s me of union tactics

Unions mattered and were needed 50 years ago, but they are useless and completely counterproductive now. That’s why only a very small percentage of the overall US workforce is represented today. These “Cadillac” contracts with the CWA, IBEW and UAW serve but one purpose now. Greed.

Thanks for the post. A wise man once said, if companies would treat employees right and share the profits generated - there would be no need for a Union.
