Ok. So now that the strike is over, was the surplus a matter brought up during bargaining? I mean, of what benefit would it be to individuals on the surplus list to have picketed, when they will be off payroll at the end of next month? Does anyone know if this is still in the works?

Why would they consider stopping a surplus? Get rid of people who’ve had enough of the unions lies and replace them with bright young minds and strong backs that have no clue they’re being taken advantage of.. yeah, I’m sure it was on the table. A hot cup of coffee, a good laugh and a high five before they roll up their sleeves and sit on their a$$ avoiding real issues.
I guess District 4 got the better contract if you are one of the 911 surplused employees.
CWA will NOT stop a surplus
I’m sure pulling the surplus back partially or completely was on the bargaining table, but the CWA would have to make concessions for that as you know.
Wait, you mean refusing to work isn’t an effective way of dealing with a surplus of labor?
