Retroactive back pay? That’s not gonna be much for three weeks time. If you strike for 3 weeks, how many weeks do you have to work with a 2% or 3% salary increase to make up for 3 weeks not working? I’m sure you realize you won’t get paid back pay for being out of work for 3 weeks while on strike, right? Oh wait, you must be doing new math!
We will get three weeks back pay and also the opportunity to call a manager to clean around the yard. If they refuse, hasta la vista maricon.
I'm in Charlotte, there is no update but I suspect will will be back to work at least one day this week otherwise no holiday pay plus the ULP strike is a term limit (usually 5 days). A general strike has no end date. That's what I've been told
We were originally told the strike would end at 9am Wed. We just got the word we are now still on strike Wed.
Right now its all speculation but we were told to strike until a certain time then report to work at a certain time Wed, but all subject to change as the likelihood of strike to continue. I can't see corporate giving into job guarantees since they want to downsize and lower tech wages. They had a couple contractors in our yard today, but were also filling all the att trucks gas tanks.
1mrm - wasn’t it supposed to last through tomorrow night anyway? How is that “extended”?
Locals are posting on social media that the strike continues Wed.
Your “local VP” is not at the bargaining table and has no idea what he is talking about. The U’s last official statement is that they are hoping to have an agreement tonight, and things are progressing.
Why so many downvotes? Is this fake?
My local VP just sent us a text saying we are not stopping tomorrow. Said to be prepared to make sacrifices and help each other because it may start to hurt but will pay off in the end. He promised they will try to bargain retroactive reimbursement from the company!
Fake
Yea keep it going. Healthcare stops on Saturday.
no balls
He’s right. My local just sent out a blast too.
Don't post here unless you know what you're talking about.
I don’t see an update. What’s your source
