Yeah if the company goes bankrupt all your union contracts are basically now worthless.

If the company goes bankrupt then if you have any AT&T stock in your 401K it becomes worthless.
And any grandmas who are living off the income from AT&T dividends will take a hit or become destitute.
So you don't want that.

Just ask some of those from the 84 strike. My old boss said he had to walk the line for 10 hrs a day for a week to get his $50.

Yeah, you're missing a lot. The union has a large strike fund, and while members are encouraged to gain health care under a spouse, if that doesn't work, they can seek Cobra reimbursement from the union.

At least that was the way it was a couple of years ago, when my contract expired, and we were advised about a strike contingency. Due to the minimal amount of strikes in the last several years, their strike fund can only be larger. So, it's gotta be the same deal.

I can only speak for myself but I’ve been prepared for this strike and can easily go 6 months without pay. I’m on my wife’s insurance so no issue there. Also to my fellow vets, don’t forget you can always go thru your VA for healthcare !
