First- id–tic Union members hoping the company does poorly is flat out stupid. That's where you work and draw a paycheck.

Second - no one. Not Forbes or anyone else I owe why he quit orbwho will replace him

Third - for DirecTV people. What do you think would be happening if T would not have bought you.... you had 1 product and it was in decline. Please be glad you have a job

@2wkj, No Way! Arnoldi is benched.
Lori Lee or Stankey is moved from WarnerMedia as he failed in that position and a woman is brought in to right the Warner/HBO ship.

@10JZ56jG-jnq T buying Directv was the worst thing for our employees, customers, brand, customer service the list goes on. As much as you legacy T folk are bitter about Directv. Directv legacy hates being a part of this more than you will ever know. Your company politics are a joke! All T does is LIE and misrepresent.

https://techcrunch.com/2019/08/26/atts-ceo-of-communications-john-donovan-to-retire-in-october/?yptr=yahoo implies discrepancies with Stankey. Somebody from the top of the ladder has to be pushing those ridiculous TV pricing pyramid schemes.

For all the so-called innovations jd brough t about, none can be identified as a catalyst for revenue increase or technology leadership.... pivot, wf2020, catching up, inner fighting, layoffs, and of course, offshoring will be his legacy.
Good riddance.

If there is golden parachute involved, I wonder if it includes the continued use of the AT&T airline for personal travel for himself and family.

@ehs for folks at this level it is much more about ego and powertrips than $$$$$

Yeah, $$$$ is important and it validates things for them, but headcount and billions in budget, access to decision making and decision makers is much more important to them

once you have $$$$$ to spend the world around you changes, everyone s—s up to you and keeps creating an environment where you feel like god

he will miss that and that's the reason why they cling on to those c-level titles - it's a total power trip

The market should be glad he’s leaving

He is leaving while he can still take some money with him. If this company goes under, the workers leave with nothing! The T would have to let go of nearly all of their workforce to make up for the debt they owe.

An investor here, not an employee...

The market does not seem overly concerned with Donovan's departure, this is judging by today trades.

Or, maybe AT&T a traders stock, its an investors stock and that's why things did not budge...

Hopefully, new blood will bring some fresh ideas to keep the company moving in the right direction...

I wish all employees all the best and I hope new leadership brings a change that's good for all stakeholders, employees, vendors, customers, shareholders...

Good luck!
