Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

CWA NEEDS TO CHANGE A NO VOTE TO A NO ON BALLOTS

People who don’t care and don’t vote know their wont be a strike and just continue to be anti social and keep on truckin. That doesn’t help the Union Brotherhood system of making decisions together as a union. Change the one rule for ballots for a No Vote = NO, then the ones who want to ratify they HAVE to vote. When a strike vote ones up those who don’t want to strike HAVE to vote. Change the rule to force member participation. We need to stop voting on contracts and strikes due to lack of vote participation by default passing everything.

Oh sure thing @llu. They've been 'trained' with some AT&T training videos. Unless they've actually done the work and still remember how to do it, they will be like fish out of water.

Apparently AT&T trains its trolls just as poorly.

A no vote should equal "NO"
A yes vote should equal "YES"

An abstainer's vote should be just that, ABSTAIN, and shouldn't be tallied to determine whether the YES votes exceed the NO votes. ABSTAIN shouldn't mean YES, nor should it mean NO.

The unions need to be more clear on how this situation pans out. I took a look ─ couldn't figure it out.

Sad but true @tbv. Here in D4 the worthless union agreed to a contract that improves absolutely nothing for prem techs. They didn't even try. The company doesn't have to lay of prem techs here because they are finding better jobs and leaving this sweatshop by choice.

This horrible company and its useless union really aren't worth it.
