Merging EQE with Development

It finally happened. EQE is merging with development. This will create better communication between developers and testers and help in the transition to Agile.
This happens all the time. Back and forth it goes. For those including execs, testing is not quality. It is only part of it. Technology likes to say we have great quality...might want to think again. If you do not understand the definition of quality, how can you have a quality program.
No, you have a bunch of testers that do what they are told, don’t speak up, slide around the processes and are a bunch of lackies. Would rather save their job then do what is right. Isn’t that what got us in trouble in the first place. Dev tells testers what to do, when to do it and delivers waterfall in a sprint. Boy your smart dev. Genius I tell you. Same with testing.
Are you ready for a audit? It’s coming, only a matter of time.
We need true quality engineers in order to improve. Not more testers. They are a dime a dozen. Want more proof...who in their right mind would think they know automation and are now automators because they can update a XML? Yup our people. Smart I tell ya.

Wonder about reporting structure. Who is next on the chopping block? EQE leadership probably. When is the true question. Those that speak up will be first to go..mark my words.
