Jusr heard Miami area CWA started a strike and walked off the job. Anyone who can confirm?

yeah, right! you're ready to fight, up until you miss that first paycheck. then you are back, begging for your job. then you end-up settling for some lame deal. keep-on truckin'!
Why are you knocking folks for taking some kind of a stand at least? Problem is with the brotherhood of Union workers in supporting one another......
We had a major grievance strike in the midwest. Once started, it spread like wildfire among all departments through our state and beyond.
After several days, one of the union big wigs came out to try to get us to end the strike. We took a hand vote and the result was NO. The union VP nearly blew a gasket and told us further striking would be counter productive and demanded that we re-vote to end the strike.
This union has no heart to fight AT&T. The workers are ready to fight, but the CWA, in collusion with the AT&T Death Star, is not there to back them up. Good luck D3.
If they are striking for only 3 scheduled days, then it is just time off.
A real strike happens when you stay out of work until a deal is made.
CWA helped T save some money and made the Miami workers look stupid.

A 3 Day strike is a joke. Assuming they're including Saturday and Sunday in the strike? So basically a 3 Day weekend. The company won't even yawn at a 3 Day strike.
Why aren't all the other D3 locations on strike as well??
Exactly just like D4 did, just look at the updates from D4 as we were without a contract and D3 will follow suit!
The CWA leadership doesn't care. They get the dues either way.
We did the same stupid thing in the Midwest and got nothing out of it. Wake the F UP CWA leaders, all you did was cut the pay from members pocket! D3 will get the same shtty contract as D4!
Yep, and they will be on forced OT when they come back on Monday to catch back up. Real smart. Hope it was worth it.
Confirmed. They (Miami South-Dade) are on a grievance strike until Monday. Not that anybody really cares.
