Seems like the U is the one without authority at the table. T is foaming at the mouth waiting for us to walk out the door.
if there is a strike called it will surprise cwa greatly they have no intention of calling a strike
CWA’s spine is as rigid as a fiber drop! We did a info picket line @6:30 and went to work at 7am! We showed them who was boss!
After 21 years of service, I recently retired from AT&T as a non-bargained employee in July. As a non-bargained employee, I was required to complete 30 hours of intense on-line training that would make me a Cienna switch expert. Which was a joke since I have zero engineering experience. But the general consensus within our organization was "they'll never strike". We too experienced surplus and lost a lot of employees every quarter, but increased employees in Kosice and Bratislava during that same time frame to replace US workers. I'm telling you that if you don't strike, AT&T will never take you seriously. To be honest, I am disappointed in your Union representation. What is the point of having a Union and paying dues if you cannot exercise your right to strike. Who is benefiting now from joining the Union?
This afternoon, the union is going to announce they are putting the company on double-secret probation. That'll have them running scared.
Looks like we are going on strike!
