@1dxb gets it. The whole point of streaming is you aren’t tied to a contract and your streaming entire seasons when ever you like you aren’t watching live tv i.e you have to be there when it airs or record for latter that’s already been done for you. Vue, sling and YouTube tv are live but they don’t require contracts and special hardware so those have a leg up on T also. I have no idea who T is trying to capture with this mess of a plan.

That 2-3 stream limit is an absolute deal breaker for most I've talked to. We're so f'n stupid, the dung beetles look downright genius.

@1eyy - "I don't get streaming. I tried it and I had to pay three or four services that are equal to or more than the price of cable. With the dvr on cable I never watch commercials or live tv anymore. why should I pay three or four streaming services that equal to what I was doing with cable."

The point of streaming is bounce between subscriptions and watch your shows to reduce your cost. One month you subscribe to service A, next month you subscribe to service B, then you move on to service C, rinse and repeat.

I can rotate through two streaming services for $40/mo or I can pay DTV $140/mo for the same content. If I chose the former, I'm saving $1200/year. I'll put up with the monthly subscribe/unsubscribe routine for $1200/year.

@1fol: yes you can buy additional boxes but remember you still have a limit of 2-3 streams.

Really don't want multiple streaming services –let's be honest there might be one show from Netflix, one from Disney , one from ATT and maybe one other show that I am interested in . I'm not paying for 4 different streams ....what I have now from DTV covers all my bases.

Who cares???? I no longer watch traditional tv channels. If I need to watch something, I open up the browser on my smartphone. Or if I’m superrr bored I turn on kodi. :)

I was wondering about additional boxes. I guess you can have as many as you want as long a your internet supports it? Seems like the pricing matches the directv model but even more expensive.

“AT&T (streaming) TV includes one set top box. Each additional box is $120 – payable upfront or in 12 equal installments of $10. Box isn't worth $50, but at least there are a finite number of payments before you own it.”

The content companies are k–ling the idea of streaming and I am beginning it is just a pipe dream that started out good but then the middle men of Hollywood got involved and did nothing but raise prices.
T is just joining in on the fun 10 years too late as usual.

It's because they are going broke and know it. However, they'll probably buy some other old obsolete equipment for a few hundred billion thinking it will save them before all is said and done. It's the at&t management way.

Comcast, the most hated company in the country is known to raise fees and provide substandard services. T is following the Comcast's footsteps to a "T".

Its the cable TV / satellite TV pricing model everyone hates only with streaming. Amazing.

No one: "How can you take what NETFLIX, VUE, SLING TV and others are doing with streaming and really make us hate it and not want it?"

Randall: "Hold my beer."
