I left verizon a few months ago and it was the best decision I have made. I loved working there and the people I worked with. I WAS ALL ABOUT moving up in the company, and I was... since 2.0 verizon has lost a lot of great people. Seems like everyone’s out for themselves and the whole culture that we worked so hard to get was just thrown out the window. There are so many GMs that aren’t good leaders, they’re there to collect a check and receive credit when something good happens.Not to mention GMs don’t work 40 hrs a week, they work 30 hrs a week.. There needs to be more RECOGNITION towards SS and SMs. They are the backbone to the business overall running smooth (happy employees, happy customers).
The money at verizon, and the culture use to be great. You guys have to realize that there are more jobs out there other than RETAIL, that pays equally if not more than verizon. Use your resources and invest in yourself, ESPECIALLY if verizon is paying for it... complaining and crying won’t get you anywhere. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

Did not result well for this individual. Glad to discern that it worked well for others.
To be fair, the culture has always been terrible. But now we also have impending layoffs added.
