District 9 here in southwest recieved word from our manager tfs layoff has been canceled, been working 6 days a week for the last month but not sure if that made them think twice about letting go of 20% of our techs or if they are just postponing it!

Lucky retiree here...after 39 yrs...what I see for the next contract coming up in April of 2020 is that at&t will make one offer to cwa d9 and that will be the only offer. If the wonderful union and there infinite wisdom doesn't take it at&t will lock out all craft. The biggest mistake cwa made was not keeping the contract end date the same....8/8. They would have had more leverage like they did in the 70's and 80's by having the whole country go out on strike instead of each individual district. There was once a need for unions ..... but know I'm not sure!!!!
It’s heavy all across D9 but it’s just a delay they want to see how the new att tv c-ap pans out. So far everyone is laughing at their 2 year contracts for what is essentially a fire stick.
