The brain drain is complete. Nothing but tards left. Ships sunk. 5g is 5pee.
Please go. We don't need you here anymore.
Verizon also promised many of us pensions and retirement medical. Union retirement medical $500 a month, management retirement medical $2400 a month. Lost $350,000-$400,00 in pension.
I took VSP, e it date 3/22/19, landed contract job work by May 2019 and was hired full time by September 2019z Drum roll... get this!.... at 30% more $$$$ than I was getting at Verizon for the same job, with 4 weeks off a year as starting vacation and every benefit that I had at VZW except a lower cell phone bill. So glad to be employed elsewhere with a stable growing company that isn’t funding 5G by cutting talented employees or “rebadging” them to Infosys - and an extra year’s salary in my pocket. So relieved to not be worried any longer about Infosys and layoffs and And and - best de idiom of my life.
I left with VSP and realized that we had it good at Verizon: good pay and benefits and also 6 weeks vacation. It is not that easy to find a job after being with Verizon for many years. It is not only the problem of pay, we do not have finance or pharma experience what most jobs request. Also at Verizon we did not need all the certifications that companies are requiring.
What’s the date for the next one? After taxes I think I got 900 bucks
@10DLcKEo-3bhg I don't hate poor people and I never said there wasn't poverty in America. Thanks for putting those words in my mouth. However Verizon pays very well, beyond a livable wage (except maybe in retail stores paid on commission). They also have excellent health benefits. So I still say if YOU ARE WORKING HERE and living paycheck to paycheck, you have a problem with your budget.
@10DLcKEo-3bhg while what you say is true, there are people with far less income than those who work at Verizon. So there is a element of not budgeting properly there. The fact remains that if you are unhappy you should look for a better job rather than waiting for $1k+ of RSUs
@10DLcKEo-2apt: Just say you hate poor people and leave. Poverty reaches far and wide in America, and if you think the laborer is to blame, you need to do more research on the cost of healthcare, education, and housing in major cities.
@2vry If you can't afford a $400 emergency expense and/or are living paycheck to paycheck, you either need to budget better or find a better job.
@10DLcKEo-2yrp: Oh, apologies if my living-paycheck-to-paycheck is offensive to you. $1000 is part of my rent and student loan payments, so yeah, I’ll take what Verizon promised me. We can’t all have our parents’ money and/or safety net behind us! Newsflash: Most Americans can’t afford a $400 emergency expense. I just happen to be one of those Americans.
You are really staying for a grand? Ok, you might want to re-eval your decisions!
If you were at a director or higher level, I get it! those guys are making ten of thousands a year off RSUS...
The RSU was guaranteed if pension eligible
VZI culture became so much bad...it's sambar that's ruling and spoiling the culture if you are not a yes Candidate you will be asked to leave or they will target you by putting in D... culture has totally spoiled in Verizon India..
and my 2020..6 weeks of vac pay
Why would anyone wait for such a small amount. STP maybe once July has passed
A restricted stock unit (RSU) is compensation issued by an employer to an employee in the form of company stock.
How much are the peanuts worth??
What is RSU??
On payroll 12/31/2019 that's my current goal
If you cans find a better job or retire now staying around for that is complete nonsense. Come 2020 that job might not be available or retirement rates might s—.
Peanuts, sure, but you might as well stay long enough to get what Verizon promised. Why let them off the hook?
I'd love to know what chunk of the workforce you think is waiting around just for those peanuts.
