Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Is it time yet?

Do you think management is ready to admit we overpaid for both DTV and TimeWarner? Or do we have to wait longer for their "mea culpa?"

Who am I kidding, waiting for AT&T management to admit they screwed up something is like waiting for Titanic to safely dock in NYC.

Dtv was is a debacle. Sure we became the largest tv provider overnight (not sure if that’s still the case) but why buy when cord cutting was exploding? The lie Randy parroted the most was it’ll leverage content buying power lowering prices. Sure sure

Well it is not about owning to a mistake. Seems they knew the huge purchase price but are zealous to become a software media company before anyone grabbed TW. And the ‘you scratch my back etc execs’ surely made out well. Those being impacted are ornary folk who have to scramble as the cost cuts keeps happening. It is like buying a huge house and then getting rid of the onshore maid and hiring the cash wage maid ... the home owner still enjoys the expensive house and it’s potential resale value but........you get the drift!!

No senior management is like gwbush never admit you were ever wrong and from what I have seen that is how you move up in the company no matter how big you screw up never admit you made the mistake and so other low life that will get surplused take the blame.
