Get what you can and do what’s good for your family. I’ve unsubscribed to what the CWA is doing. Not one of us should care. D4 is an example of what the CWA cannot accomplish. Just close your eyes and open them in the middle of 2020. We’ll get a chance to see what the contract will be then. Oh, and don’t expect back pay to August 3.

@10BuAB4L-1zhn - true and agreed.... ... when I think Union... it is at the Local Level... the upper leadership at the National Level is in coercion with AT&T... you are right
@1wby...the biggest problem with the U isn't at the local level(I'm sure it's safe to say that some are ran better than others), it's with the U's upper management. A lot harder to fix than just voting in the new fired up guy down at the local hall.

Man... you complain and whine about the Union... you’re so outspoken... know how and what to do... ... step up... take charge... ... next Union Election time run for an office... ... knowing your kind... ... you’re too busy or you’re not going to waste your time... ... your elected officers are volunteers... they probably ran unopposed... no one wanted the position.... ... you ever think that they’re doing the best they can for the amount of people they represent? As long as these old farts, who are out of touch with reality keep getting voted in the CWA will never change. They are just protecting their paychecks,thats it plain and simple. Out local president has been to our shop 2 times in 4 years. Every time we call our local with a problem we get the “ we don't want to upset our level 3 , just do it”

You are preaching to the choir. CWA aka Can't Win Anything has been in the company's bed for many years. It is not going to get any better. Just do the best that you can......or do as little as possible and get away with as much as possible. Make as much money as you can so you are prepared for if/when you get surplussed.
Same here from Florida. Can’t plan a future on a surplus list.
