You were represented by the guy standing next to you with a union card. What does he know about professional negotiating? The company had well paid professionals at the table with clear interpretations of the labor laws. You had joe from hickville that was nominated at the last national meeting out in Vegas where everyone was enjoying the booze and gambling. CWA is worse than a loan shark. Just remember you have the privilege of paying them every month for having the screws put to you... enjoy your new contract.
If i lost a year of back pay , because of the unions piss poor negotiation then i should be allowed to deduct those wage looses from my union dues. Maybe just maybe the union will prioritize the members over the company.
@1sqd...and we all know how those votes go, usually always 100% unanimous even though I've never seen anyone who voted yes
The membership voted to approve the contract. The bargaining team just brought it back for a vote. You can’t blame the leadership if the majority of the members voted for it.
Who did CWA send as negotiators? Dumb and dummer? MOFOS were useless, clueless. For this type of contract we were better off just accepting ATTs D up our • a year ago. At least we wouldn't have lost back pay.

I am not going to take cuts on my healthcare while the company is profitting and hand over dues like they did something for me.. We didnt even get average wage increases.
Either they are dumb, have no power, or are being told all jobs are going and they are just trying to get what dues they can.
They did not negotiate a change from what the company slapped down.
If the company wants you gone, the useless union can do nothing.

LESS than nothing - our 'expert' negotiators cost us one year's raise with no retroactive back pay and healthcare costs will increase. Thanks a lot fake union!! Our 'expert' negotiators made us POORER than the previous contract! In a booming MAGA! economy with a gigantic tax windfall for AT&T no less!
In the past, when contracts expired, managers would take our keys and the workload would dry up, just in case there might be a strike. Not this time. AT&T knew their buddies in the CWA weren't going to do anything.

You’re lucky to still be in a job that is represented by a trade union that keeps your health insurance low (check around and look what everyone else pays) and guarantees you a pay raise every year no matter what your work performance is. Union’s are on borrowed time my friend. Enjoy it while it lasts.
