Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

“Learn to code”, oh yeah?

No one is safe I hope you are all now realizing this. So next time you want to look down on the rest of us that happened to work more with our hands than warm an office chair with our a– keep it to yourself. You ain’t safe from the snap.

Tip and ring, wire color code cowboys have getting surplused for along time. Now that look down your nose manicured mommy boy managers are getting hit were supposed to feel sorry for them. Thats life at the “T”.

I'm not union but I care more what happens to them... Any c-ap they force onto management they throw at the union first. So I feel your pain cause you have to put up with it even longer.

Having said that, I agree with vgt... we are all in this together... except for those in the glass rooms in Dallas and their direct reporting minions who won't stand up to them. Those recently forced out have the same families and mortgages to pay as the union people getting the axe. Their 1 year clock to being unemployed has started because of the bad decisions the executives have made.

Yep exactly what the company wants to see. Infighting amongst ourselves instead of focusing on the real culprits. Execs and their unquenching greed

If I was a coder, I certainly wouldn't be with AT&T.

Post ID: @107ylmGN, Really? Spoken like a true tip and ring, wire color code cowboy. I'm craft and I work with my hands and even get to use my brain when the company isn't looking.
I'll give you that there are some A-holes who rejoice any time there are cuts in craft (AKA Union) employees, but there is no need to stoop to their level.
Many of thousands that are being cut are not people like your 1st line. They are just people who want to work and have a decent life, they just happen to be non bargained by a union and thus don't have the job protection you and I do. We are all at the mercy of AT&T at the end of the day. The only difference is that as a union employee, we get to see the axe coming, but for them everything is fine for them until they get "that" email.
Oh, by the way Python is not just an invasive species in the Everglades.

I don’t think anyone looks down on anyone that works more with their hands. How about some compassion for those being forced out? Your time will come soon enough.
