He just said increased investment in infrastructure equals jobs. He didn't promise you any particular net job number across the company.
these reviews were so spot on. i am so sorry i stayed at that company , drank the kool aid, and wasted my life there. i am so glad i am gone now, i was one of the ones listening to paul ryan and randall stephenson at a town hall talking about tax reform and how it would create 7500 new jobs the last week i was there. at that point i realized how everything randall did was out of pure deception, and everything out of his mouth was a frickin lie. it was like finally getting out of an abusive wife beating relationship, and literally seeing the wizard of oz exposed as a feeble old man trying to run his company with band aids.
everything about these lay offs was aimed at getting rid of the american worker and replacing them with either h1 visas, off shore, or younger college grads. the company is a bigger scam than enron, led by randall stephenson.
