Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

How is it in the collaboration zones now?

I’m was a WFH employee and I was laid off a couple of months ago, but before the cut me i was called to report to one of the so-called collaboration zones. I’ve spent about twenty days there, and my impressions are far from good. I guess I’m just curious, I’ve heard that these zones are still active. Is it still the same mess there?

Collaboration, engagement, SAFe, Agile. Bringing everyone back into an office. Outsource to IBM. All of it is BS.

I will never recommend this company to friends, family, nor to strangers. I dont have their services and not planning on getting any. Im just here to show up, get paid and leave. CZ is BS and its just a way to thin the herd. I work 4hrs being paid 8, they don't want me here, the feeling is mutual. I am just here for the paycheck. Sue me.

Someone should probably let customers know that at&t doesn't believe in the products it sells to streamline telecommuting for other companies.

Just more poor leadership decisions. CZ are a joke. Lining people up like operators the worst part in my job is I can't always hear whom I'm talking to on the phone because there is so much talking all around me. I was a PT telecommuter for years. Leadership really screwed the pooch on this one. But they want everyone to be miserable so they'll quit and they can thin the expense herd without making an offer. Simple as that. Make people hate coming to work so they'll quit.

Atlanta Lennox is overcrowded, noisy, and unsanitary. Bathrooms look like a gas station bathroom where the attendant gives you a key and a look like you sure?

DEAR CORPORATE TROLLS : RED ARROW ME !!
Here are some reports from the South / SE region :

  • in some areas extremely expensive parking
  • not enough parking
  • unsanitary toilets
  • certain offices - people are stacked like sardines
  • running out of toilet paper by 2 pm at some offices.
  • super slow LAN

Why not mention which offices ? so I won't give the trolls the pleasure to nitpick !
So....trolls, 1, 2, 3 - down arrow me !

CZ are the means to justify an action under the pretention that it will bring innovation. Once you are on the list there must be a way for them to backup their actions via statistics regardless of performance, impact or contributions. Potentially for legal purposes. Since they heavily targeted those with costly pensions I wonder what is next to make everybody else hate their working conditions and leave!

The collaboration zones was a bunch of crock just to get rid of folks. Some employees were in a satellite zone and was surplused as well and some were not.

Please don’t waste time on the OP’s dribbling....he’s a troll on a phishing expedition. Put aside the misspelling and poor context of his phrases and the use of past and present tense....."I’ve heard that these zones are still active." Who is this turnip? Just a troll!

If he spent twenty days at a collaboration zone, why not mention the facility? Even the address, state and town....there are many out there and he’s got nothing to lose, right? A poor fisherman troll to say the least

To be honest they aren’t great BUT... I’d rather be in an office I don’t like than unemployed right now so no complaints here. Hopefully you find an even better job if you haven’t already... best of luck!
