It happened at our store. Our manager sent back a bunch of iPads! He said their lease expired tho.

There is a major iOS *13 update coming in September that is not going to be compatible with older iPhones. There is also, for the first time, a iPad specific iOS that is also not going to work on older iPads. Compliance on the updates is very strict. This could be why you received different equipment, because it will be compatible with the new update.

Odd to hear AP showing up out of the blue to collect equipment. What did your boss say?

Prem tech, took both devices and gave me a different ipad and phone. Not a lease roll, they are being sent to asset protection. Dealing with the leaked information I am thinking

Have seen it with some office positions with cell phones. If you have a office phone, no direct reports, and no off hours callout responsibilities.

Are they trying to recover assets before a layoff or are some folks no longer allowed business phones due to cost saving measures? How can you work without an iPAD; Did they give you the standard HP or Dell laptop in place of? The only time I have seen a return of assets is when one is leaving the company unless a lease expiration? Didn't you ask and inquire as to why you had to return your equipment?
