Job security for existing employees that are left here or the rest doesn’t really matter. Losing months of pay on a strike to gain a lower deductible is just bad math. S— it up, work a few hours of overtime and offset your costs. Unless there a is another job that you think pays this well with your background. Think logically here. This is a decent deal for core members.

Expect to see, or wish to see?
What would I expect to see. Modest pay raise to cover cost of living increases followed by no or very little health care increase. Maybe move to co-pay rather than large deductible. 401k percentage match rather than flat $60. Less outsourcing of all kinds. Group consolidation. Leave a standing sipp offer to shed the older workforce until you reach the numbers you’ want. To name a few things.
Kaiser premium was fully covered in d9 until 2012. Good job cwa. 👍
It will pass,it protects the members with the most seniority, as it should.there hasn't been a contract without healthcare increases since the 80s, that's never going to change.
So just out of curiosity what is it you are
expecting to see in the contract?

what makes you think ANYONE including premtechs would vote yes for this pissbag of a contract?
Bet it still passes there are about 2100 prem techs in d4 out of 8000+ represented by this contract. You don’t outnumber anyone anymore. Unions hands are tied, prem will never be core and it’s way too late to flex now. we should have done that 2 contracts ago. Way too late now. Recognize the writing on the wall and prepare yourself for the inevitable future of us all
hear many locals will be counting votes at their respective halls NOT at D4 headquarters where the company s—as can rig the votes
In just two weeks , D3 will be out of contract. Vote no D4 and join D3 in a walk.
We gave up over a year's worth of our pay raise for this? If D4 was going to cave and give us a garbage contract, why not just do so when the old contract expired?
Voting NO until I see a good contract!
CWA Leadership is spineless and corrupt. Been here 24 years and I've seen it all.

In the Summary, it states Upon a ratification of the TA, the Company commits to discontinue the process of the current 3rd quarter surplus.
This has been discussed previously a few topics below under "D4 members , have you received details yet on tentative agreement".

D4 for 37 years. Long time steward.
In the 80 and 90's it was decent.
Email the D4 pres and I'll bet you'll never hear back-until your local officers tell you not to do it again and follow protocol after they are told to "control your members."
Notice how the union fights harder for wage increases than benefits?
Because dues are calculated off wages.
Shelton and Stephenson hammered out the final details of the Tentative Agreement and are trying to shove it down our throats.
Proud progressive leadership, higher healthcare costs, longer hours and less respect from the employer! I'm not quite there yet!
Wow. Apparently CWA leadership felt this is the best contract they can get for employees ? Time to vote our current CWA leadership.
Surplus remains, contract highlights reveal many changes in healthcare costs and pre Medicare healthcare insurance for retirees. I will vote no. The surplus has not been canceled. It simply states you will find a job somewhere in the company.
