The way this company is handling layoffs is awful.

I find it appalling that i found out today on the internet that I will be losing my job in Sept before I was notified or told anything by my job. What horrible greedy leadership. What decent employee not on drugs with more than a 7th grade education... — read more

Is this the endgame ?

It seems the theories that some on this board have had may be correct. This is an interesting article about how Eddie Lampert is set to leave with major assets. https://seekingalpha.com/article/4078706-never-ending-sears-story

AP Managers

The area AP managers are a joke. Ours is from KMart, and is completely clueless when it comes to Sears. Watching him try to prepare our store for inventory is sort of hilarious. We are also supposed to let him know whenever we see theft happening. I... — read more

New round of store closings tomorrow?

Our market team was visiting today and I eavesdropped on them outside smoking and I heard them say a new group of store closings would be announced tomorrow. Anybody else heard the same thing? I'm in the Northeast.

Inventory Tags

I stopped into Sears today and noticed RGIS Inventory tags throughout. What's that about?

newport mall - newport/jersey city, new jersey.

anyone know what the story is with this store- it is owned by the company or leased- also it seems well stocked but no one seems to be in the store just a handful of bored employees hanging around- is it profitable?

I actually had my best day yet.

On Memorial day I sold all kinds of lawn equipment to people and 90 percent bought a MA! I sold a riding mower to a veteran who was tired of pushing to cut the grass, I told him he deserved a riding mower after his sacrifices. I cant think of a... — read more

Sears Memorial on Memorial Day

Sales numbers are awful so far this holiday weekend.

And I know it wasn't just my store. I looked at the Sales Flash app for various places around the country. The worst, by far, Memorial Day Saturday and Sunday in all my years at Sears now has me believing the doomsday prophets on here.

The Kenmore/BBQ Pro grills are TERRIBLE!

They are so flimsy it's not even funny. Cheap crap is a problem at every store but not every store marks it higher than it is really worth. We brought out some grills for an outdoor sale all this week. The grills flexed and wobbled, even some of the... — read more

Associates Discount

How is the associates discount working for the sales at Sears? Has there been a profit for the company, with the new associates discount. I would like it if they go back to the old way.

Did Anyone Get a Raise Today?

Was it just me or was today just business as usual working for a piece of feces company that still has a No Pay Increase Policy.

Sears Roulette

Store Count!?!

Looking at today's press release I don't think anyone has paid much attention to the incredibly shrinking store portfolio... KMart went from 896 to 624 in one year! 30% of the store count GONE. Many more quiet closings than I even thought... 18... — read more
