I remember being excited to have a job with Sears Holdings and then i found out how much their starting pay was. You having work experience for the position you applied for means nothing. Minimum wage it is. The first few days were the dumbest hours I've ever spent in my life. 3 years later the same computer training they press you to do when you first start is the same thing they're preaching to do now. Nothing has really changed on that end. When I first started each department in my store had lead positions (11)and you could tell some really took pride in their job. Fast forward a year and a half later and now we have only 5 lead positions. Sales at our height was up 20 percent. Now we are negative 16 percent for the year. I remember when we used to do the truck we had on average of 15 people to unload the truck. Now we are lucky if we have 7 people total to do the truck. Outside of government mandated raises we haven't seen 1 since I been there. People jumped ship so fast at our store it was unbelievable. Now the ones that are left must do the work of 3 people with no hours,no money,or any hope things will get better. Weekly budget goes down to $13,000,but they want $30,000 worth of work. They subliminally threaten you about having a job, wanting you to work harder, sacrifice your life, the wellbeing of yourself and your family for the sake of Sears. Management has personal vendettas against employees who search for better opportunity. Management says things like I hope you fail. You will be back, but you can't come back. They want you to follow some anonymous policy someone made up over the weekend so they can cover their A $$ when they fire you. HR is a bigger joke. They don't know nothing, but what come down in an email and when you ask them to clarify something their answer is refer to your handbook or it's in the handbook you should've read it. Even though they change it to fit whatever narrative they are trying to spin. I'll remember this company for the hypocrites they are, have, and will be. They are the 21st century versions of a slave master. You work for pennies. There is no hope of ever moving up. You will never get a raise. They want you to work like you are 3 people then have the nerve to actually get upset when the job is not done on time or faster than they expected. I'll remember Eddie Lampert for using a valuable company and valued employees for personal gain. I'll remember corporate for blaming us the employees, the customers, my dog, my neighbor's cat,and God himself for slumping sales for the last 7 years. On that note I will remember none of you for reading my post.... Thank You. Thank You...
Sincerely, Mr.M Yass
