A long time employee here. Maybe this will come as a shock to the youngsters, but believe it or not, this used to be a great company back in the day. Not in my wildest dreams I could have imagined that it could sink to this level. My point is, that people should open their eyes and look for symptoms otherwise they will all get stuck working for a failing company, praying to God that they will not fall victim to constant layoffs and hoping that they will reach their pensions.

You dont even understand how karma works, do you? If so, you'd realize your behavior is not generating good karma.
Karma is superstition. There is no such thing.
The Oracle support model has 80% margins. How, push SR to self service use of MOS.
Need I say more.
90 or something? No much much older!
Time Lord
Good comeback Potsy!
It's the same story, penny wise pound foolish. Those cheap parts and cheap labor save money up front but spell disaster in the long run. Automobile manufacturers lose way more on a recall than they ever save.
Space missions using cheap parts usually end in spectacular explosions and loss of life. But we still keep putting people like MH in positions of power.
They k--l and destroy products and companies. Why wont we ever learn?
It is not a question what Oracle owes long term employees, it is more a question of Oracle squandering valuable assets. It is painfully obvious to our customer base that the new reruits lack ANY business experience. Taking a course (where you forget 80% of the content within 2 weeks) is not a substitute. Sure that he old timers may not be on top of the newest technologies, but neither are the kids!
Oracle should not throw away assets, but employ them in the right capacity, training and mentoring the next generation.
To the next generation, remember that your turn will come. Karma is a b--ch!
Stop having a victim mentality. Oracle does not owe anyone anything and so do you. Find a better company if you are not happy at Oracle.
