Here it is! The future straight from Furber's mouth.

Can't compete with Costco. Less people, more layoffs to come, more automation as posted on this page 3 months ago...

@1jky

com·pla·cent

marked by self-satisfaction especially when accompanied by unawareness of actual dangers or deficiencies.

Way to let others make their own decisions without any influence. Oh, let me guess, you meant to call the people who stay complacent as a compliment right? 🤣

My club is very stressful, I do not see block scheduling working considering the build design and business/ freight volume on my club. I choose the severance package. I am ready to move on to a new job, and look forward to getting paid to get out of the way of company direction. I will do the best to continue to carry my team through to June 22, because that is the kind of character that was rubbed of on me since I was a kid. After that, I am free to go my own way. I feel, I personally have achieved a victory by having the mental fortitude and adaptability to survive at my club as long as I did. The ones whom are complacent and stay, I wish them the best, but I think they are screwed big time, but I let people make their own decisions without any influence.

Do you ever see any postings stating anything negative with a Costco employee. No you don't . That is because they think long-term not short term . Wal-Mart is to busy sinking their money in China. People in the USA don't count. The company is controlled by greedy money grubbers. They have no moral compass. It's for the now and themselves. They love that most employee receive some sort of Federal assistants. They can control you better. They want you to be afraid you might lose your job. They keep you under their thumb and make you feel you have no self worth. Don't believe it. There is life after walmart corp. Good luck everyone!

@mls ... I said it too many months ago. People still got their blinders on. Sam's is no longer a people business and that's ok if only it wasn't people that got them their billions of income to spend on the technology. Hey, it's the future. Many of us hard working, intelligent, people minded associates need to move onward and upward. Given Sam's too much of our time, not wasting anymore. I hope there is a walk out on June 22nd. Furber, Regionals and market managers have all shown they don't need or want people just bots like themselves. Life seriously does go on.

I've tried to say this many times. That is way Furner was hired. I'm sure he was told of the changes they wanted to take place and he is doing that. It s---s big time but it is the future. That's why I say get out now. Things will only continue to go down hill. More closings, more layoffs and so on. Those that were waiting on severance need to get that idea out of their head also. They aren't offering it to everyone anymore. Instead they will make you so miserable that you will quit. This place is not worth it. Get out now!
