Hey 6/28'ers you have 4 weeks and 20 work days remaining. It's time to focus on yourself and finalize what you are going to do with your 401K, pension, general benefits, and supplemental life insurance. Take a copy of your training history. Also make sure you copy or print any personal emails or personal files you may need. Don't copy any proprietary information. Take the high road. The company will move on and you need to as well. Thanks @ZmAb0LL , Here's my advice to you. Buckle up and make sure your resume is up to date. There's approx. $7 Billion left in costs to cut and something tells me the current standard severance package is a tad bit generous when you consider that some other large tech firms provide on the order of 30 days pay. If history repeats, layoffs will happen between Halloween and Thanksgiving. Lastly, I heard that Infosys has reached out to VZ employees to see if they are interesting in taking a job with them now of their own accord - that is a dead canary in the coal mine.
Yup just been counting down the days till I take the money and run. Can't wait to be watching the SS Verizon sinking from my VSP lifeboat!
I’m guessing most reached this conclusion last October and have been operating accordingly since then.......
