Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Constant Schedule Changes

So I'm curious how far out is your schedule made? And does your schedule change daily? Also are you expected to check your schedule daily for changes? If so what happened to 3 weeks out on schedules and having associates to sign off on any changes made? How do you make plans when your schedule changes daily? And if you don't work what you are scheduled than you get points.

If you ask questions you are told it was posted on the time clock to check your schedule that changes have been made. And you're also told your schedule can be changed 24 hours out.

What if you was off and didn't see this and also what if you have already made plans.

This is BS. I guess we will waste our time and money hiring and training over and over because no one would want to work under these conditions. Wake up and smell the coffee.

This is still one of those "gray" areas that H/O does not want to answer. Each Club is supposed to have a schedule book with three weeks schedules included. The red line and initials on changes are true. However, on the Wire under "Associate Pay Policy" "Reporting Pay" it states that your supervisor or manager will try to notify you with 24 hours or before the end of the shift last worked (it goes on). Try is the key work, do they have you on video being notified? Is an unacknowledged text message notification? I am not an attorney, but if someone was terminated or reprimanded, I would think that Walmart, Inc.'s own SOP would be used against them. It is not if but when this happens, H/O will rewrite the policy to be crystal clear.

We actually had an fresh associate go on a cruise, manager approved six out of seven day vacation request, and received points for no call no show. He was in the middle of the ocean, and was reprimanded with points. Looks like the fresh manager should have received the reprimand. And yes, the vacation request was put in system six months in advance.

There has never been a schedule book at my club. The paper schedule came off the wall and that was that. Often there is a note taped next to the time clock telling us to check our schedules.

Getting a screenshot or a print out of your schedule every week is worth the trouble.

Many managers will deny there was a change or that it was them doing the changes.

Exactly correct above, each Club is supposed to have a schedule book, (not posted on a wall, as before) any changes have to be initialed in red. NOTHING has officially changed about that. H/O, HR, Ethics would be involved in any retaliation against an associate in something like this

Screen shot your posted schedule. Anything changes after that must be signed off/red penned.

So Typical... they try and bully associates into thinking they can do whatever they want.

Once you make a copy of your schedule they can't hold you accountable. If anything happen in between show them what you have. If even say I can a copy of my schedule I need a verbal of any changes made to see if I haven't made any plans.
