Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Pay levels

What is the pay raise if you go from a level B level to C level, In old school lingo, going from a level 6 to level 7? It use to be on the wire under pay plan, but of course it's not there anymore, I guess no raises anymore when you step up?

For @2fbc and anyone else who preaches the same, sometimes, or MANY, leaders claim this or that from the wire doesn't apply. Or we can't follow that. Or the classic, yes but it's left to your managers discretion. So please, tell us what we do in those situations.....

Another person that needs their hand held like a 5 year old 🙄

The PTC is gone, and now you have to actually look a bit for answers, oh the horror! You are probably the same person who would complain that they could never get an answer because the PTC was off most nights and weekends and you never seen them 😩

Just admit it, you will always find an excuse or construct some scenario to claim everyone is against you. Don’t like working for someone else or not being able to control all decisions that benefit yourself? Start your own business, and be your own boss. You have entered a voluntary relationship where you agree to show up when the company asks you to, and they in turn agree to pay you for your showing up. In this voluntary agreement, they can ask you to do pretty much anything that is within legal boundaries, and you can decide if you wish to continue with the voluntary arrangement. The company is obligated to pay you for your work, while you can decide you do not wish to do all the work, but you will still be paid as required by the law and the voluntary agreement that you have entered into of your own free will. No one has ever made you continue to work for this company, you may decide at any time to leave, at any hour, at any point in your day. You can decide to not go and quit and you will not be forced to ever return to another Sam’s Club again. The rules are even now in place that if another company decides to inquire about your employment with the company, all the company will say is that you were employed with them. So really, you have zero risk of quiting with it without notice, you can them every name in the book and as long as you do not make threats, there is nothing they can do about it.

For as many people who say that a certain someone must be rolling around in their grave at today’s situations, take a minute to ask yourself are your parents that are no longer with you, rolling around in their graves, watching how some of you have turned into victims?

If I am crazy, then you will have no reaction to these questions and opinions and move on to the next post. But if you stop for a minute, get a little angry, hurt, or upset, then know that the truth hurts sometimes.

Ask your PTC. Oh wait. Sorry. I wonder who else you can go to.

Surely the company wants their associates to have easy access to answers about the company they work for. Perhaps a hotline you have to spend 45mins to an hour on hold to be transferred to more hold music. Or managers in the store who should be highly qualified and trained and professional. Or a high quality website with a great search engine and honest answers published on it.

Oh wait. I wonder why those things aren’t there.

On Walmart side, 10% up or to base minimum whichever is more. 5% down every level to a max of 10% or to top grade pay if you above grade top level.

Old 1-2-3 are the new A

Old 4-5 are the new B

Old 6-7 are the new C

The above formula is pretty close to what was and what now is the pay grades.

$0.50 🙄

Going from a B to a C is at least $1 an hour, could be closer to $2 depending on how much you are currently making. It is a percentage of your current pay, +10% is a rough estimate.

I believe it was .50¢

Not sure if that changed with all the other changes.
