Now if D4 would reject their tentative agreement , then in 3 weeks both D3 and D4 will have a lot more leverage over the company. District 4 members, Vote NO ! Let’s work together and show both the company and the cowardly CWA “leadership” how it’s done.

Why would they go on Strike? You are overpaid and lucky the job still exists as it is.
During our last contract, we voted on a yes strike. After the majority of the members voted in approval our local president said “ your yes vote means nothing, the national president will not authorize a strike, so you can forget about it”... right then and there i understood that WE members aré royally screwed by both CWA and ATT..
In my 21 years at D3, we have not walked out for 1 single day. If our spineless Union would call for a strike for D3 and D4, yes we would have leverage. It's not going to happen.
@Osz, maybe you can’t read. His point was the leverage would come with a combined D4 and D3 being out of contract. Of course both D4 and D3 would have more leverage if they were out of contract at the same time. Think about it. You think at&t wants the press coverage and the political fallout of a strike that covers over half the nation ? No. They’d be more eager to reach an agreement.
I have worked in D3 for 21 years. We have worked without a contract at least 6 or 7 times. It does not give us any leverage over the Company at all. In the end the CWA will push the same old BS contract down our throats.
There is no leverage over the company. That was given up a long time ago.

@Juz, D3 is not close to ratification at all. All one has to do is read the report they just released yesterday so you’re just pulling that out of your a--.

@nsr. You are right on the money. Besides, D3 is already close to ratification. The union is just playing their circus games as usual. Wish I would have gotten out a long time ago.
It doesn't matter if you vote or not. Cwa will make an executive decision regardless of the votes. It will be signed and you will have to live with whatever the units negotiate. That's how it's been for years. Get ready for a lot of mandatory over time. 1 employee doing the work of 3 men still saves on benefits. Be prepared, it's already happening.
