Why are layoffs always on Thursdays?
Is there some reason for them to be doing it this way?
Anyone from HR here?

Your manager will call you either in person or video phone. Unless more than one individual is being rift'd, he or she will smile, make nice, ask you some stupid question before making a statement like: "because of our strategy", "the budget". "change in department needs", "staffing needs" or other reason, your last day will be on__________. Once told they expect you to say thank you and go home until Monday so you can absorb what just happened AND not speak to anyone around you u till next week.
The reason they want you to go home is not for your mental state but for those around you. They don't want them to get nervous and non-productive.
Cleveland had layoffs on Wednesday
Layoffs took place yesterday in Plano and Lewisville 9/10
I just sold suntan to your Mom; she also wanted a rub, But she is too sweaty and fat.
I’m just here for the comments. LOL
Per previous laidoff it happen on Mondays and Thursday’s
Studies show that THU is the best day to lay people off. Chase managers will call you in on Thu, give you your Notice, then tell you to take rest of the day and Fri off. This gives you almost 4 days to digest the news and look for a job selling suntan lotion in Cancun :)
